The Artillery Volunteers have fired in the first stage for choice of Colonial Kepresentatives, with the following results -.—Sellars, 74 ; Boss, 67; Garter, 65. Wellington, January 12. A school of twenty-six porpoises was washed ashore at Lyell’s Bay this morning. They are high and dry on the beach.
