The amount of revenue received at the Customhouse on goods cleared fer consumption this d?v was 1927 12s lid. y [By Telegraph.] The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company has received, the following telegram “ London, December 9.—W00l competition is increasing. The market is firmer. Up to date 68,000 bales have been sold. Tallow, firm; mutton, 51abeef, 4?s per cent. Leather: Best sales showed Is 4d decline on previous rates. Adelaide wheat is worth 51s; New Zealand, 53s per 4961b. December 16. —The wool sales closed firmly. The sales comprise about 105,000 bales; 800 halos have been withdrawn. During past sales 30,000 bales were taken for export. A good many second hand parcels were otieicd during the past sales. Trade in the manufacturing districts is unchanged.”
