MR FISH AND THE HARBOR BOARD.
To the Editor. Sir, — I perceive from the reports of the proceedings at the hustings yesterday that Mr Stout, with his usual rega’d for courtesy, gives me the lie direct as to a statement I made with regard to the Harbor Board Bill passed last session of the Provincial (Council, What I said was that the people of Dunedin had to thank Provincial institutions for making the Board a nominee one, and although it is true that Mr Stou introduced an Ordinance providing for an elective Board, he must be aware that every member of his Government, except himself, opposed it ; and supported the nominee principle,—l am, &c., H.
