Pioneer, s.s., 25 tons, Mathesou, for Tois Tois, Hannah Barrett, schooner, 57 tons, Kenner, for Poxton. Phoebe, s.s., for Northern Ports. Taupo, s.s., for Northern Ports. Pifty-ono saloon passengers. The Timaru cleared at. the Customs to-day with a cargo of L 117,780, and wil! bo towed to sea on Thursday. Passengers: Cabin —Mr and Mrs Julius and three children, Messrs While and Armstead. Steerage—Mrs Leap and two children, Mr and Mrs Wood and three children, Miss M'lntosh, Messrs Prater, Smith, Reid, Glenn, Martin, Taylor, John B ttenbury, Win. Gall, Robert Purkor, and Win. Smith.
The damage to the Taiar a is not so great as was at first anticipated, and is principally in the second and third plates. On her run up from the Bluff she made but little water. Among her officers we notice a familiar face—that of Mr Watt, who was hero with the Marea Bahn, When the Jessie Readman comes out the Timaru will be taken into dock.
