Wednesday, December 8. (Before J. Bathgate, Esq., R.M.) Gcddrs v. Greenwood —Fraud summons adjourned for four weeks to allow the defendant to satisfy the claim. North-east Valley Rond Board v. Crawford. Cla ; m of 21s, rates due on a house. Mr Haggitt, who defended, argued that as the house was situated upon Crown lands the defendant was not liable for the rate. To give Mr Stout, who represents the Board, an opportunity to fully argue tire point the case was adjourned for four weeks. Sheares v. M‘Lean.—Claim of L2, money lent.—Judgment for plainti.f, with costs. Dayman and Co, v. M‘Rae.—Claim of L2O upon a dishonored bill of exchange,—Judgment for plaintiff, with costs. [Left sitting.]
