Flexman, Esq., J.l'.’s.) pHDNKENNEss.—AIfred Jervet and William Gibbs were each fined ss, with tie option of L^1 n &* four hllurs ’ imprisonment; Anne Campbell, 20.-, or three days’. P Disorderly Conduct.— John Challoner, for conducting himself in a manner calculated to provoke a breach of the peace was fined 20s with the option of three days’ imprisonment. * A ItiOTOUS Prisoner.— John Winter, for being drum, for using obscene language, and for resjsiing Constable Johnson was sent to gaol for one month.

An OUTCAST.—Ah Wong, a very old offender, was charged with having no lawful means of support. Prisoner, who only came out of gaol on Friday last was an outcast a vougst his countrymen. He would do no work and was nearly always in gaol. He was sent back to his old quarters for three months. Vagrancy,—George Wallis was charged with

having no lawful means of support.-Sergt. Hanlon stated that he had observed prisoner knocking abaut Noith Dunedin at early hours from tine to time during the last four or five mornings. At fifty minutes past five o c ock yesterday morning witness found him lymg inside Knox’s Church now in course of erection in George street. Witness woke him up, ar.d ho said he felt rick and had taken refuge in the building, having no money.—He was sentenced to three mouths’ imprisonment, with bard labor.

Pas-ing a Valueless Cheque.—Thomas Lauglands was charged with passing a valueless cheque for L-‘> 7s 6d on .November 10.— V\ dliam Sparrow, in the employ of Messrs Kirkpatrick, Glendiuing, und Co., said that accused purchased a suit of clothes of the value d bo, and a hat of the value of 7s fi] on November 10. He asked for a blank cheque on the Bank r>f New Zealand, which lie filled up.
