THE VOLUNTEERS.
A return match was fired this morning between the No. 1 Company City Guards and the North Dunedin Rifles. As on a former occasion half of each team fired at the Anderson’s Bay range, and the remainder at the Pelichot Bay range. SThe “Polar” Company (on this occasion proved victorious bv 25 points, so that a third contest will be needed to decide which is the stronger shooting company. The morning was a “dead on ” one, and everything that could be desired. Volunteer Mitchell (N.D.) is the highest scorer, with the capital score of 52, and \ cl.
