ELECTORAL NOTES.
Mr Stafford and Mr F. Wakefield offer themselves for Timaru and Geraldine respectively. Mr W. Colenso, of lexicon celebrity, has i-sued an address to the electors of Napier. Theie are now five candidates for the two seats. \lr Orrrond i* yet unopposed for Olive. It ia believed there will be three candidates for the two Nelson City seato, Mr Curtis, Mr Sharp, and Mr Luckie. For the suburbs Mr Rout, Provincial Treasurer, will oppose Mr A, J. Richmond, the sitting member. Mr Harrison, M.H.K., addressed his constituents at Greymtmth on Tuesday evening. I lie proceedings throughout were very tame. No questions were* asked, and he announced his intention to contest tho forthcoming election.
