C" and "Humanity," who wrote to you on Monday, question me why I particularly made mention of Steading's powders. My .eply is that I commenced by show mg that mothers begin to administer quack medicines to their infants, ant I mentioned hteadman s powders, as f supposed them to be the least harmless of all quaek medicines. But as the child grows the moher not only increases the doses, but ghe resorts to moro powerful nostrums, which I condemn as iniunous to health.—! am, &c, t. ~ __ , Philanthropt.
