The weekly meeting of the Board was held this morning • present—the Chief Commi - ipuer, , Messrs Bastings, Battei worth, ■Jiarke, Strode and Reid. Mardling applied for a lease of section 26, block 7, Rock and Pillar distric . A seven years’ license was granted under clause 91, at L 5 per annum, without compensation, Mr G. W. Applications to exchange agricultural for deferred payment leases Mr W. Lea k, sections 17 and 2, block 2, Tiger Hill ; Mr W. Corigal, s ction 5, block 2 ; Mr John Kerrin, sections 4 and 5, block 2, Cardroua. All were approved It was decided that the Rangers should make a tour of inspection over all deferred payment leases, agricultural leases, and tree planting areas, to see that the laws and legulations are carried out, and to report as soon after the Ist January a* possible auy instances where they are not carried out.
