THE GOVERNOR AT CHRISTCHURCH.
[Bi Telegraph.,] Christchurch, November 8. The Governor lauded at Lyttelton shortly after ten o clock this morning, and was there received by tho Superintendent and member* of the Executive. Ihe Artdlerv fired a ialute. Heavy rains prevented any further demonstration. His Excellency came through to Christchurch at onee, ai riving at about 11.15. Th* City Guards formed a guard of honor, and th® Ga\airy an esc >rt. The Governor was driven away in Mir Cracroft Wilson’s carriage to th* Club, where he will reside during his visit.
