The position of the proposed harbor is nearly opposite the Government Lauding Service, extending towards Caroline iiav ■ and the iron jetty is to start from 1 ho point of the' cliff juat to the uortb of the landing place Inside the nef a quay or harbor wall U> be built 400 ft Ion;?, the top of which is to be yft above wator The quay to be connected with the viaduct by timber staging. By means of these works l lk r f ;e vessels would be in perfect safety in all states of weatli-r having 21ft water at low tide, and could discharge and load cargo directly in connection with the railWay system of the Province.
