The weekly meeting of the Board was held this morning; present—The Chief Commissioner, Messrs Butterworth and Clatk. Mr J. W, Thomson applied io surrender section 7, block 15, Waipakee, taken under deferred payment?. A cepte \. Mr James hj cully aaked for his protection over a right-of-way to his wood claim f roue year from September 1 of tiio present year. Granted. Mr John Gall askc-1 to surrender Ids interest in deferred payment laud section 7, block 4,'"Waikaia, and that his ru;ht be transferred to las brother. Surreuder accepted, but to be advertised as open for application. Mr Charles Colclougb, for Messrs Thomas Haynes and Co., asked that lease sti to Mr James Nicholas be c:Îed ou account of nonpayment of rent, and that they may be allowed to lodge an application for ten acre.?. including the four acres of ivr Nicholas. < n arrears being paid up surrender will be accepter. Mr Jabez Burton surrendered section 5, block 4, Teviot, applied for on deferred paymeat Surrender accepted, section to be advertised. Mr D. M'Kellar applied to purchase or lease an acre of land betwt en tho Atherajum and the Clutha river for the purpose of stacking timber and constructing a house-pier aud tramway on it. As it was a river-hide reserve only a temporary occupation license was granted, under clause IGI, at 20s p.r annum, The Clyde Warden forwarded duplicate certificate 867, issued to Messrs Strode and Fraaer for sections 1, block 14, and 1, block 11, Leaning Rock; also au objection'to the
same being granted, lodged by the Mayor of Qaecnstown, on behalf of a committee of readouts. Referred to the Government. Moasi-3 Gillies and street, for Mr John Cameron, applied to (.urchasesectio- s 39 and 40, bb>ok 3, Crookstou, a : ;2os per acre. Appr ved.

The Receiver of Land Revenue wrote ivyarding the appointment of a treasurer to the Boaul. The l.;oa>d decided that th; Receiver is the proper person to whom all sums of money should be paid under clau-e 22 of the Was'c Lauds Act oi IST'?.
The Chief Surveyor reported on applications lodged for the purchase of laad within the town of i.aseby, and recommended that the township be extended to trigonometric*! station X, Rt port approved ; parties no i raking possession of Crown labels within Naseby without authority will not be sup ported by the B,;atd in guaranteeing tb.6in holdings or improvements. The matter of the consideration of the ease submitted to Judge Williams under clause 6 af the Waste Land Board Appea l Act of 1567, r« applications for deferred payment block in ikr ot Humdred and their allotment, wai adjourned till the next meeting of the Board, as Mr D.
