Star of the South was token out of Murray's floating dock nt high water this morning and steamed up to Dunedin to take in cargo for Lovuka via Northern Ports. The schooner Clio, from Moeraki, arrived on Saturday and berthed at the new pier to load another cargo of timber for the railway works at Moeraki. Messrs Houghton and Co.’s s.s. Wanganui returned from the Bluff at 7.30 a.m. yesterday. She left the Bluff at 4.30 p.m. on Saturday. Can tain Fraser reports passing the brigantine Kate Brain, from Moko Moko, with a ea'go of timber for Timaru, The s.s. Express sailed for her usual Southern trip on Saturday evening. The ketches Fanny (for Gatlin’s River) and Palmerston (for Waikouiiiti) sailed yesterday. The ketch Anno, from Moeraki, arrived on Saturday with a cargo of grain for transhipment to the ship Altear. The schooner Isabella Anderson, with a cargo o grain from Timaru, arrived on Saturday afternoon, and passed up to Dunedin. She left Timaru on the J4th, and had light easterly winds along the coast to arrival. i'hc cutter Jane sailed for Shag Point yesterday. The Union Company’s p.s. Samson arrived from Oamaru on Saturday afternoon and passed the Port to Dunedin. T; o ship City of 'i anjore finished discharging the whole of her inward cargo this merning, ■ .The schooner Beucleuch hauled alongside ?tho barque Elizabeth Graham for transhipments for Oamaru. The N.Z.S.S. Co.’s s.s. Phoebe, with cargo and the Northern ports, took her departure this afternoon from the railway pier.
