Daniil M'Kenh*-. -Plaintiffs claimed L2BB on a dishonored bill of »'Xchange drawn by Messn J. and N. t ampbei’ in favor of one J. M. Watson, and re-indor-e i by defendant to plaintiffs. Defendant pi- aded that he had not due notice of dishonor of the bill of exchange. Mr Smith uppe red tor plaintiffs, and Mr Stout. for the defendant. I h- eaa- having been proved by Mr Frederick Dick, bank clerk, hi* Donor summed up, contendini! that sufficient, novice hud been given and directing the jury to find for plaint,ffs. The contention for toe defence was that, sufficient notice to indnmn fy bad not been given. The dishonor was admitted.—The jury an swered issues put to them thus : Hud the defendant due notice of (he dis honor of the bill |of exchange in die declaration mentioned as in the declaration alleged ? Yes. What sum (if anything) are the plaintiffentitled to recover from the defendant! lie amount of bill and interest at the rate of 8 pe cent, per annum.
