Thursday, October 7. ARSON. Robert Hunter, convicted yesterday of arson, vdth a strong recommendation to mercy, wa biought up for sentence. Messrs James Scoullar and David Baxter, merchants, each of whom had known prisoner for close on fourteen years, were called as wit nesses to character, and both spoke very highly of prisoner. j _ rdis Honor sentenced prisoner to six months’ imprisonment with hard labor.
