RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
Thursday, September 30. (Before J. Bathgate, Eaq., R.M.) His Worship took his seat at a quarter past eleven o’clock! Sparrow and Co, v. Crossley.—Claim LM 7s Bd, work done, and goods supplied. Wr Denniston for plaintiffs ; Mr Harris for defendant. —After hearing the evidence, his Worship gave judgment for plaintiffs for L-10 ICs 2d with costs, M'Leod v. MTvor. —Claim L4B, damages for broach cf contract. Mr Mount for plaintiff ; Mr Adams for defendant, Daniel M'Leod, a carpenter, deposed that the defendant agreed to employ him at Ids per day on a four months’ contract, and he was fifty-six days out of employment through the defendant’s breach of agreement. His Worship gave judgment for plaintiff for Ll6, with costs. Sunntag v. Walker.—Claim LI 14s, rent. Judgment for plaintiff, with costs. Tims. Murphy v. W. Allen.—Claim Llo, damages for the defendant having converted to his own use ono sow and a litter of nine pigs, the plaintiff’s property. Mr B rtou appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr Harris for the defendant. [Left sitting.]
