The London Journal' has the usual amount of essays, tales, odds and ends on subjects of public interest and passing events. The ladies' supplement is replete with fashions, and a traced pattern of a lady's walking jacket i-* given. J
Bow Bella' is very good this month. Th» numerous patterns for children's costume*" laches aprons, caps, trimmings for dresses! babies bibs, and the thousands of useful and ornamental articles which are daily required cannot fail to please the subscribers to this journal. Wo draw their special attention to the designs for d'oyleys. in tatting and crochet. 1 he last-named is particularly pretty The Young Ladies'' still holds its place as a nrst-rate journal of fashionable needle and fancy work. The patterns for embroidery braiding and lace work are vcrv good, ami the children s toilets are capital. We cannot *av we admire the design given this month for a chair in Berlin-wool work: we have seen much better ones issued in former numbers of this journal. This is, however, a maUtr of taste.
