THE LABOR MARKET.
To the Editor.
8 k,—Of late i have seen a number of letters in your paper about labor and immigration, and feel surprised there have not been more ; for to m o tire number of men out of employment in ibis (,'ity the whole of the year ronn ! is a sin and disgrace. The people should get up and have immigration put a stop to. How can this City, or any other city in this country, expect to prosper after the sins they are committing in luring nun away from good homes and employment, on the supposition that they tue going to belter themselves, to a countiy of idleness, where, on an average, they are only able to obtain two or three days’ work in a week. To bring immigrants to this country is like trailsFoiling them, before they have committed any crime, to make roughs and thieves of them; for I cannot see, what else is to become of th.m. —I am, &c., Out ok Work.
