The public doubtless are aware that our Auckland visitors Word a distinguishing mark in the shape of a peculiar hat and ribbon. Now, as I was present at the theatre on the night of the unseemly disturbance, I can confidently assort that the noise proceeded from the Aucklanders, and not from residents in this City, * I can substantiate the above remarks, if necessary, by the testimony of several wellknown citizens,—l am, &c., Fair Plat, Dunedin, September 25.
