THE SCENE AT THE THEATRE ON WEDNESDAY EVENING,
To the Editor, Sin,—l was really surprised at the audacity displayed by the writers of the two letters in your issue of yesterday. The public doubtless are aware that our Auckland visitors Word a distinguishing mark in the shape of a peculiar hat and ribbon. Now, as I was present at the theatre on the night of the unseemly disturbance, I can confidently assort that the noise proceeded from the Aucklanders, and not from residents in this City, * I can substantiate the above remarks, if necessary, by the testimony of several wellknown citizens,—l am, &c., Fair Plat, Dunedin, September 25.
