At the last meeting of the City Council the Mayor stated that he had the names of twenty persons will to join the new Brigade. Considering that it will take a considerable time to make arrangements and practice bo as to enable these mm to work together. I think the Mayor and Councillors' should take more active steps in securing a body of men for the protection of the City from fire.—l am, &c, Katepateb, Dunedin, September 14.
