CITY POLICE COURT.
Tuesday, September 14. (Before J. S. Hickson, Esq., and Dr Niven, J.P.'s.)
Drunkenness. Daniel Gallic was discharged with a caution; John M'Meleny was fined ss, with the usual alternative, and for using obscene language 20s, or three days' imprisonment.
Vagrancy. A charge against Mary Davis of having no visible means of support was adjourned till September 28. Neglected Children.—Four little children named Le Batt were charged with being no glected children. From the statement made by the Police Inspector, it appeared that they wandered about the streets at night, and had no home. For some days past they had been thrown on the charity of some kind friends.— The case was adjourned till to-morrow, to enable Mr Hockeu, who, it was stated, received money for the children's support, to attend.
