Nawsou, Misses Westbrook, Monkmsu, Maloney, Vickery, Martin, Masters Monktou C l), Reid, Messrs Grant, Heath, J. S. Jamieson, W. Jamieson, Paul E. M‘Donald, Morton, Bond, Smith (2), Evans, Delaney, Miller, Anderson, Snodgrass, A. Guisford, and H. Watkins ; fifteen in the steerage. Nautilus, cutter, 25 tons, Baker, from Timaru. SAILED. September 7.—Maori, s.s., 118 tons, Malcolm, for West Coast, via the Bluff. Aldergrove, ship, 1,271 tons, Fullerton, for Newcastle. The ship Aldcrgrove, for Newcastle, was towed to sea yesterday afternoon hy the tug Geelong. The s.s. Wanganui will take her departure this eviiing for her usual trip to the Bluff'. The ship Altcar is rapidly discharging her cargo into lighters in the stream. The Union Company's s.s. Bruce left the railway pier with cargo and passengers this afternoon for her usual trip to Lyttelton, via Timaru. The barque British Empire commenced this afternoon to discharge her cargo into the railway trucks. The schooner Clio, with piles, for Moeraki, got under way this forenoon, bub in beating down the harbor unfortunately took the bank off Deborah Bay, where she will remain until high water this evening. The cutter Nautilus, with a full cargo of grain, arrived early this morning, and passed up to Dunedin. She left Timaru on Sunday morning with a light N. wind, which continued until arrival. The ketch Lloyd’s Herald, with a full cargo of timber from Gatlin’s River, arrived this morning and continued her course to Dunedin. She left the river on Monday morning. Captain Cairns reports that the ketch Franklin Belle, with a full cargo for Oamaru, while coming out of the river got on the hank and sprang a leak. The ketches Kestrel and Isabella wore loading for this port, and the Jauo Campbell for Waikouaiti when the Lloyd’s Herald left.
The N.Z.S.S. Co.’s s.s. Ladybird, with thirty-six saloon and fifteen steerage passengers, arrived alongside the railway pier at noon to-day from the Northern Ports. She loft the Mannkau at 11 a,.m. on the 2nd, and called at Taranaki. Nelson, Picton, 'Wellington, and Lyttelton. Wc thank her purser (Mr Dougherty) for report and exchanges. The Ladybird passed the barque Jane Spiers between Picton and Wellington, which wished to lie reported as having through the night of the tth come ini o collision with the schooner Young Dick. As far as could he seen the damage sustained appeared to be light. SHIPPING TELEGEAM. Auckland, September B.—Arrived : Ship Carisbrook Castle, with Messrs Vesey Stewart, Pnnmll, and immigrants for the Kati Kali settlement. She had a line run of ninety-one days from Belfast. All on hoard are well.
