A BRICKLAYERS’ MATCH.

Time did not permit the conclusion of the walking match which too c place this morning between two bricklayers’ laborers at the Drillshed. Robert Bird, tho first competitor, who started at 6.30 a.m , finished the distance (twenty miles) at 1.35 p.m. The shed is requ red early this evening for the Artillery drill, so it is arranged that the other walker, George Bedford, shall start on h’S journey tomorrow afternoon at four o’clock. Each man carries a hod of twelve bricks.
