Hatton, Caledonia; John M‘Kay, Gulden Age; Dan I 'cl Black, Gridiron ; James Camming, Prince of AValos ; Thomas Campbell, Crown; George Dodson, Empire ; A. T. Dunning, Dunning’s Private Hotel ; Thomas Hetherington, Shamrock ; James Patterson, Australasian ; John Donaldson, Glasgow Pie House ; John Soott,Oriental; H. J. Walter, Occidental; James Watson, Dining Rooms ; Louis Court, Otago ; Godfrey Jacobs, Bull and Mouth • Frodk, Bayley, Bayley’s Hotel; Charles Woodley, Scandinavian ; Percival Barker, Criterion ; J. F, Jones, Wain’s Hotel; John Aikraan, Glasgow Arms ; Henry Williamson, Prince Alfred ; Hugh Falconer, Rainbow : John Carroll. Hibernian ; Patrick Keligher, European ; J. R. Mills, National; Thos. Linklater, York ; Geo. M'Gavin, White Horse; Thos. Oliver, Sussex; Patrick Cotter, Caledonian Inn ; John Buck, Captain Cook; John Wardie, North Dunedin; Daniel White, Queen’s; David Auld. Royal; Jas. A. Richmond, Scotia. The applications of Thomas Pavelitch| and Jos. Davies were refused, applicants not (having complied with the statutory requirements by forwarding their applications within the specified time. The Bench stated that they would not withhold licenses from any applicants bearing a respectable character, provided that the police offered no objections and ,the statutory requirements had been properly complied with.

All applications for new bottle licenses were refused, the rench holding that they had no power to grant new licenses except at the quarterly meeting in June.
