VOLUNTEER FIRE BRIGADE. rjflHE existing Brigade having announced s_ their intention to disband within the course of a few weeks, the City Council, as representing the citizens of Dunedin, arc desirous to take steps for the construction of a, new Volunteer Fire Brigade. Vith this object in view, his the Mayor respectfully iuvites all gentlemen who may be willing to be enrolled as members of the proposed new Brigade to lodge their names and addresses', by letter or otherwise, at the Town Clerk’s office, Manse street. So soon as a. sufficient number of applications for enrolment shall have been lodged with the Council, the Mayor purposes convening a meeting of the proposed members, in order to elect the Brigade’s Officers and to do other business incidental to the establishment of the Brigade on a permanent and satisfactory footing.
