_ Sill, —Can you infonn me if it is the intention of the Provincial Government to proclaim a general holiday on the opening of the Clufcha railway on the Ist September V If so, would it not be necessary that the public should know, that they might be enabled to make their arrangements accordingly V I am given to understand that one body of the citizens intend observing it as such, and it is customary in all the other Provinces to celebrate a like important event in the future history of our Colony with a close holiday.—J am, L Ve., -Lvijcini.-n.
