The object of the Company is to supply the Colony with locally-manufactured furniture of a quality to equal any yet imported from the Home markets. A large number of our local youths will, under the ver> best workmen to be obtained, be employed. Woods from foreign markets will be imported ; but the woods of New Zealand, many of which are eminently adapted 'or the manufacture of every description of furniture, will be largely use I. These premises will in the fitst instance form the manufactory, , Centrally situated premises in the city will be established, where will be the show-rooms an » warehouses of the Company. Of the amount of valuation to be paid for the pr* raises, the vendor agrees to take the onehalf in paid-up shares. It is needless to say more in favor of the undertaking; the matter is left in the hands of the public, who cannot fail to see ths many advantages to be derived therefrom.
