Regarding the oxu d -f (he damage sustained by the Easby during !ho rough weather she experienced previous to her purtivg hiek to Sydney, it consisted of the loss of a hoard 20 f* Leg and about 6in wide, which covered the working gear belonging to the winch. Captain Kennedy pur back on account of the heavy ironbark logs which the ship carried, weighing at least a ton each, which caused the vessel to labor.
