The schooner Jessie Nicol sailed this morning for ■Wellington, via Boot Harbor. The barque Bobyclto, for Newcastle, was towed to sea this morniug by the tug Geelong. Tho s.s. Taranaki, with cargo and passengers for the Northern ports, sailed this afternoon. The steamer Wanganui, for tho Blutf, and Beautiful Stax, for Lyttelton via Timoru, sailed this afternoon. The following coasters have arrived at the Heads from Gatlin’s Eiver Eliza MThee, Gatlin, Jane Hannah, Fanny, and Dagmar. Tho schooner Beucleuoh, ketch Anne, and s.s. Shag are at anchor at the Heads waiting for the weather to moderate. Tho barque Frederick Bnssoll, supposed from Newcastle, and schooner Pelican arrived at the Heads this morning. Tho N.E. wind which has prevailed for the last few days suddenly shifted this mojaiug to the 8.W., accompanied with rain andhail squalls. A number of vessels sailed down from Dunedin and anchored at the port until the weather moderated. Amongst them are the ketches Edith Keid, Kestrel, DeSanco; schooners Friendship, Mary Ellen, and Crest of the Wave. The shift of wind will probably bring to Ore Heads one or more of our Homeships now overdue.
The harSue Harriett Anuitage, with a full cargo of 160, Owt of timber, arrived at the Heads last night after a fine passage of four days from Eaipara, which port, she left on the 6th inst. As soon os the weather moderates the tug Geelong will proceed down and tow her up to Dunedin.
