The cutter Jane sailed this morning for Shag Point. Two ships are signalled to the southward of the Heads.
The barque Albyn’s Isle is loading nt the new pier for Melbourne.
The ketch Cutlin took her departure this morning for Gatlin’s River.
The schooner Bencleuch is loading at the railway pier for Hokitika, via Mooraki. The ship Woodlark will be removed to the railway pier to-morrow to discharge. Messrs Houghton and Co.’s s.s. Wanganui sails this evening for her usual trip to the Blutf. lie Tsteamers Shag, for Shag Point, and Lady of the Lake, for the Molyneux, sailed yesterday. The s.s. Star of the South, for Leruka, via Northern Ports, will take her departure tv.jp evening. The ship Aldergrove is rapidly discharging her cargo into the railway trucks. It is turning out in fine condition. The Barque Hope transhipped 200 sacks of flour to the Jane Spiers, which vessel will shortly sail for Wellington with part of original cargo. The Union Co.’s s.s. Hawea, with cargo and passengers, took her departure from tho railway pier this afternoon for the Northern Ports. The ship Dunedin, having been cleaned and hod her bottom recoatcd with anti-fouling composition, will be taken out of the Graving Dock this evening and anchored in the stream. The Union Co.'s s.s. Maori was taken out of Murray’s floating dock yesterday, having received a thorough overhaul, been cleaned, and had her bottom recoated with anti-fouling composition. Shortly afterwards she steamed up to Dunedin, and will sail on a special trip to Oamaru on Friday morning.
