A DENIAL.

To the Editor.

Sir. —My attention has been called to a letter in the ‘Daily Times’ of tho 16th inst., and signed “Examiner,” stating that my contract for the sewer in St Andrew street is not being carried out according to specification. I beg to say, for tho information of the ratepayers of this City, and also for that of “ Examiner,” that it is in accordance with tho specification in every particular, and is under the inspection of practical and competent men, who have expressed themselves perfectly satisfled with the way in which tho work has been performed. “Examiner’s” letter shows a deplorable ignorance of work of this nature. Trusting you will favor me by inserting this letter.—l am, &c,, Henry Spears, Contractor for the St Andrew street sewer. Dunedin July 19.
