Sib,—Permit me, through you, to ask the candidates for the Mayoral chair whether they are prepared to oppose the widening of Princes street south until the existing leases run out, as the votes of a largo number of the ratepayers, as well as my own, will, I believe, depend on the answer given to this.—l am, &c., A Ratepayer in High Ward, Dunedin, July 19.
