Mails for Australian folouies via Melbourne, per Tararun, close at Hokitika at noon on Friday, the 9th inst. Telegrams for transmission by that route will bo received at the Telegraph Office, Dunedin, up to 10 a.m. of the 9th inst. The steamer Mikado is expected to leave Auckland at 10 a.m. to-morrow, the 9th inst. _ Telegrams for the Australian Colonies or Europe via San Francisco, will be received at the Telegraph Office, Dunedin, for transmission to Auckland up till 8.15 a.m. to-morrow.
