CITY POLICE COURT.
Thursday, July 8. (Before E. M'Glashan and A. Mollison, Esq.'a, J.P.’s)
Deunkennkss. — J ohn Bums was finefd ss, or twenty-four tours’ imprisonment; Thomas Bell and Thomas Boman, 10s, or forty-eight-hours’. The latter was also charged with damaging a door of Joseph Samuel’s residence, Maclaggau street, for which he was ordered to pay 10s for damages. Theft. —Edward Johnstone and Thomas Williams were charged with stealing two blankets, one vest, and a pair of trousers (the property of. Bobert Hudson), amounting to the value of L 3. The accused pleaded guilty, and were each sentenced to one month's imprisonment, with hard labor.
Embezzlement.—A charge against John Guy of embezzling the sum of L2 8s 6d was adjourned till Saturday.
