Tuesday, July 6. (Before J. Bathgate, Esq., R.M.) John Sneddan v. John Andrews.—Claim for wrongful dismissal. Mr Lewis for plaintiff; Mr Aldridge for defendant. This was an adjourned _ case, the defendant a farmer at the Taieri, said he had engaged plain* tiff as a farm-servant for twelve months. The evidence for the defence was that the plaintiff was a very indifferent farm-servantthat he had refused to feed his horses at eight o’clock at night, which was the usual duty of farmservants, and in consequence had to be dismissed. His Worship said that as it was customary for workers on farms to feed their hordes ait eight oVonk at night, he mnst give judgment for defendant, without costs.
