STREET CROSSINGS.

To the Editor. Sir, —An advertisement appeared a couple of days ago your paper, signed by the Town Clerk, in which it was stated that instructions had been given to the Inspector of Nuisances to summon shopkeepers and others if the foot paths in front of their premises wen not swept before eight o’clock in the morning. Ido not find fault with the Corporation’s canying out the bye-law relating to this matter : but I certainly think that the crossings in Princes street might bo swept b ;fore nine and not at eleven o’clock, as was the case to-day. Trusting you will insert this letter in the interest of the citizens. I am, &c,, Pedestrian. Dunedin, Julyl.
