THE Public are respectfully informed that the Inspector of Nuisances has been instructed to see to the due observance of the Council’s Bye-law Number 5, which mas thus:— “ Any owner or tenant of any land or premises, in front of which the footpath has been asphalted or otherwise paved, who omits daily to clean before 8 o’clock a.m., and to keep clean so much of the footpath as is opposite to or in front of any such premises, shall, on conviction for any such offence, be liable to pay any penalty not exceeding (£5) five pounds.” J.
