Eaaby, for' Newcastle, June 26, The ship Timaru, having been cleaned and her bottom recoated with anti-fouling composition, was taken out of the Graving Dock last evening, and moored alongside the new jetty. The Union Steamship Co.’s fine new s.s. Hawea was taken into the Graving Dock this morning for the purpose of being thoroughly cleaned and repainted preparatory to be being placed in the Northern trade, , The N.Z.S.S. Co.’s s.s. Wellington, from the Northern ports, arrived alongside the railway pier at 10 this morning, her mails and passengers being conveyed to Dunedin by the 11 a.m. train. She left Onehuuga at 3.30 p.m. on the 12th inst., called at Taranaki, Nelson, Picton, Wellington, and Lyttelton, experiencing light N.W. winds and fine weather during the trip. We thank her purser (Mr Willcocks) for report and Northern exchanges. . Messrs M'Meokan, Blackwood, and Co.’s fine s.s; Omeo arrived alongside the railway pier at 8 o’clock this morning from Melbourne, via the Bluff.' Besides a number of passengers she brings 164 tons of cargo and 33 horses for this port, the horses being lauded this morning in splendid condition. The Omeo left the Saudridge Railway Pier at 2.30 p.m. on the 10th, and arrived at the Bluff at 11 a.m. on the 16th j discharged cargo and left again at 5.30 p.m. same day.
