Late Advertisements. CITY OT DUNEDIN. THE CITY COUNCIL invites applications from qualified gentlemen for the appointment of Citv Valuator, under the provisions of the “Municipal Ordinance” and of the “ Dunedin Waterworks Act, 1874.” Salaiy at the rate of L3OO (three hundred pounds) per annum. The of the office will embrace an annual valuation of the Citv for both municipal and water-rating purposes, and suck other vaina: ions, in respect of the Council's water supply business, as the necessities of the case and the proper conduct of the department may require. It is believed that to a very great extent the two valuations, though made on a different basis, may be proceeded with, and the requisite notices served simultaneously. The Valuator would not necessarily be required to devote his whole time to the duties of the office : private business might bo added. Duties would have to be commenced at an early date.
