The Phoenix claim tributers, Skippers, are atill getting splendid atone, and the reef shows every prospect of permanence. The rich reef discovered was quite unexpected, as two of the tribute party, Sam Edwat ds and Thomas Hancock bad sold out a week before for about LSO. The party regret that they are unable to crush any more of the good stone until the Spring. Southberg and party, Skippers, are crushing and expect a yield of loz. per ton. The Universal Company, Arrowtown. whose claim ad joins that of the Arrow 'inited, have at last made a start. The balance of machinery for the Arrow United bad not arrived (26t inst.) The Queenstown lodge of Good Templars held their anniversay celebration on the 24th inst. The day was wet, but all the buegies in Arrowtown wero over, as well as about twenty horsemen.
