The following race was ran at too late an hour for an account of it to appear in last night’s issue:—

Envy increased her lead going round the opposite side of the course, but at the three-quarter-mile—just where the Bower so wonderfully overhauled and beat Tadmor in the Forbury Handicap at the March meeting-Eight Bower put on a spurt and all the way up the straight was gradually getting on level terms with the mare. For the last fifty yards they ran locked together, but at the post the Bowermanaged to get his nose in front. Atlas was third, three lengths behind. Time, Imin. sec.
