Wostgayth s Financial Circular for March says that the Auckland City six per cents, at are -.j per cent, higher, and gives the following information relative to the floating the Dunedin municipal loan:—“ The great success of the Auckland;loau last month has brought out a Dunedin City loan uirough the same agency. On the Bth iust. the Lank of New Zealand offered L 65,000 six per cents., due 1,920, the interest Ist January and Ist July at ;he price of 99. Ten per cent was payable on allotment, the balance on 30th March, so that'tho price ex accrued interest was reduced to 971. 'This was part of the total of L 200.000, of which L 52.000 had been already issued. The applications amounted to about a million! The price has since risen to 103-J.’’
