THE CITY COUNCIL.
To the Editor.
Sir, — I hope, when the committee appointed at last Monday’s meeting bring up theirreport, steps will be at once taken calling upon all the Councillors to resign, for no one can deny that the way the business has been managed of late is a disgrace to the city. I have the pleasure of residing in that delightful mud-hole—York Place. The approach to my house was commenced some six weeks ago, and is not finished yet. The earth excavatecl is left lying across the path, which becomes beautiful and so't when it rains, and of about the same consistency as battei pudding. The footpath is now being formed across the entrance, and when the earth is carted away from the latter (if it ever is done), it will have to be taken across the footpath, which I suppose will have to be re-made.—l am, See., _. „ „ Sufferer.
