Petty Larcenies. —John Rice, charged with stealing a piece of rope, of the value of 2s, from the premises of Frederick Bailey, Fleet street, on May 17, was sentenced to seven days imprisonment with hard labor.—John Clarkson, for stealing a gold ring from the shop of Alex. Wood, watchmaker, Stafford street, to thirty days.—A charge against Daniel Whelan, of stealing a number of shirts from the shop of Charles Nunn was, on the application of the police, remanded for seven days. Vagrancy. —James Hilton, charged with having no lawful means of support, was sent to gaol for thirty days. „ Drunkenness. —Joseph Saddler was fined os, in default 24 hours imprisonment. John Burton 10s, or 48 hours.
