THE PORTOBELLO ROAD BOARD.

To the Editor. Slß,— Allow me, through the medium of your paper, to call attention to the following facts i —Last night (Sunday) an immense broadleaf three feet in diameter fell across the Portobello Hoad, adjoining Mr R. C&dzow’s fence. Them were three persons on the road at the time within twenty yards of it, and one close to, who had a narrow escape. As there are several more adjoining within the road line expected to come down any minute I think it would be a blessing (c the public if the proper authorities would take this in hand.—l am, Ac., Dunedin, May 17.

Gauged.
