TOWN EDITION.
AMUSEMENTS. THE PRINCESS’S. “ Formosa " drew a crowded pit and stalls and a full circle' attendance on Saturday evening. The acting of Miss Colville in the title role and of Mr Hoskins as Major Jorum requires no commendation ; and it will bo only doing justice to say that their efforts were ably seconded by Mrs Stoneham, Misses Willis and Stoneham, Messrs Musgrave. Booth, Power, and Keogh. Mr J. B. Steele was cast for Tom Borroughs, but through the non-appearance of that gentleman the part had to be undertaken at very short notice by Mr Booth, and Mr Love found himself called upon to undertake that of Lord Eden, which was far too much for him. To-night the performance will be under the patronage of the Governor and Lady Normanby. THE QUEEN'S. The Fakir repeated on Saturday night, to the thorough satisfaction of his large audience, the programme of the previous evening. The suspension tnck is as far from elucidation as ever; and the magic fountain, incomplete and uncertain through of water being intermittent, yet called forth loud expressions of admiration.
