She left the Manakau at 11 a.m. on the Bth, called at Taranaki, Nelson, Picton, Wellington, and Lyttelton, which latter port she left at 4.15 p.m. yesterday. Had light easterly winds from the Manakau to Wellington, thence to Port Chalmers light N.E. winds and dense fog, with heavy N.E. swell. The ship Don Juan, formally the Rosalia, which has been detained in port for some fitna past owing to the Government surveyors refusing to pass her, on account of her unseaworthy condition, was towed this afternoon to the Heads, by the tug Geelong where she anchored on account of the heavy sea on the bar. We believe she proceeds to Sydney, at which port she will be thoroughly overhauled. J*
SHIPPING TELEGRAM.
Wellington, May 13.—The s.s. Easby arrived early this morning with a full cargo of coaL She has 100 tons general cargo for Wellington, 16 tons for Lyttelton, and 120 tons for Dunedin. She left Sydney on the evening of the sth inat., and encountered bad weather during the latter part of her passage* Her passengers for Port Chalmers are—Mrs E. Bradford, Messrs W. Lothean, James Bryant, A. M. Dougall, and twenty-three in the steerage.
