Church of England form of religion. Another family of children of the name of Rushtom were also charged with being neglected, tjhe circumstances of the case being similar to the one above Anne Rushton (aged II years) was sent, to the Industrial School for three years, Ehza (aged 9 years) for five years, George. Margaret, and Ellen (aged 6, 4J, and 2 years) for seven years each, also to, be brought up m the Church of England religicm. Vaobanoy. Ellen Barry andfc Catherine 1 Loney were charged with having no lawful means of support, and also withTxsing rogues and vagabonds. The former was discharged, but the latter was sentenced to fourteen days’ hard lab a for the first charge and. discharged on the second. Theft.— lsabella Johnson, alirm Campbell, was charged by Michael Fleming with stealing from his hotel one decanter- containing sherrv, valued at 12s; and was also charged proprietor o£ the Queen’s Hotel, Albany street, with string another decanter containing brandy, valued at about 19a. Ihe charges were fully proved, and the prisoner sent to gaol for twelve weeks, six weeks being given for each offence. The Geobob Stbeet Assault Case.— Alexander Crossan, who was charged with having, on the 22nd April, assaulted and beaten one Jessie Jeffrey, was further remanded till Wednesday.
