Owing tb the wet weather but very lew en’ gagementa of the Timaru’s immigrants have been effected. At the Gaverahdm DepOt to-day a married couple (the man to act as farm era* vant) found emplcrymeilt at L 75 per annum and found; and a single man (laborer) at 6s per day. No single gifls were engaged. There still re* main some female servants and young men unemployed ; but most of those now in the barracks are married couples wfth families.
